Our Values and Philosophy

 

Our values speak about who we are.  Our philosophy is the lens which shapes the way we see the world and defines the way we work.   At Anteri these two facets of our identity are intertwined with each other in the following way:  

 

Interconnectedness

 

We see all the aspects of organisational performance and development whether at the level of:

 

§         the individual

§         the larger team

§         the organisation as a whole

 

as being intricately connected  - as part of a larger whole-istic systems model.  What happens in any one of these areas will affect all the others in either obvious or subtle ways and we encourage our clients to be mindful of this as they make decisions and implement strategy.

 

Relationships Are at the Heart of Business Success  

 

Business, in a nutshell, is about serving the client, getting the job done effectively and creating the revenue to continue this process and make a profit.  This aspect of organisational activity, the task itself, is a powerful driver of individual activity and can appear overwhelming and all-consuming.  When this happens, the organisation can lose sight of the people involved in this process both inside and outside the organisation - employees, customers, contractors, suppliers and of the part they play in the business process.

  

But it is the people and the relationship they have with the organisation and with each other that really sits at the core of business success.  Organisations that ignore this do so at their peril.  Coaching often brings the focus back onto the people issues and encourages leaders to pay attention to and nurture these critical relationships.  The improved business results which are evidenced during such a process can only be described as transformational.   

 

Organisations Are Like Organisms 

 

Organisations are living entities and can experience the same symptoms as other living entities.  They can be balanced and healthy or can become sick. Their growth can be enhanced through nurturing or stunted through neglect.  Like natural organisms their ‘default setting’ is good health and they naturally lean towards growth and well-being.

 

Our aim is to help organisations become and/or remain healthy - to initiate an organisational healing process where this is needed and to create a nurturing environment where individuals can learn, grow and be happy about what they are doing and how they are doing it. 

 

We Think Therefore We Are

 

Recent research in quantum physics is now validating the age-old premise that says when we think about something we create it.  We believe this to be true in all situations and we work from this premise with our clients.  As we show them evidence of how this works in their own lives and in the life and fortunes of their organisation they learn to appreciate the immense power that is harnessed to the way they think and to develop the skill of thinking well.  

 

Feelings

 

Scientific research into the part that feelings and emotions play in organisational performance influences much of our work.   These studies which include the concept of Emotional Intelligence form an integral part of the way we help our clients address the issues facing them.   Standard physics as well as quantum physics is now indicating that this area, previously disregarded by many as being 'pink and fluffy' is anything but pink or fluffy and is, in fact, core to organisational success and profitability.
